Why work with me?

Though at times it may have seemed impossible, you sold our house! For that, we will always be grateful. But it was how you did it that I most deeply appreciate. You took such good care of us, knowing we were scared and nervous. You always kept us in the loop, always confident, but never arrogant. We knew we could trust you and your integrity. After a prior set of bad experiences, working with you was a breath of fresh air - thank you!”

Buying a home is different from any other transaction you will ever make. It’s about the place you call home and is integral to the intimacies and joys of life. As one of my clients said recently "It's not like buying a toaster"! You have enough to worry about when buying or selling a home, you should not have to worry about your Realtor!

I built my business on the idea that if I provide excellent service to my clients they will tell their friend and my business would grow. My plan worked! I was named “Rookie of the Year” in 2000 in my first full year of real estate and my business continues to grow each year. The current real estate market necessitated developing greater analytical and communication skills. Our professional association has given us some great tools that I use to help understand and interpret the market. The market today demands highly skilled agents. It is my pleasure to help mentor and train other real estate agents and to continue my own learning along the way.

I take the time to really listen to my clients. Careful listening gets faster results and more satisfied buyers and sellers. I will be open, honest, and genuine. I will provide all the information you need to make informed decisions about your house. The biggest thing I re-learned in my Integrity Selling training is the importance of REALLY listening.

Minneapolis is my chosen city. When I moved here from Texas in 1989, I worked in the health care field but left because care delivery systems made it increasingly difficult to put my clients first.Becoming a Realtor in 1999 allowed me to give the kind of service I believe in.

When I am not selling real estate, I am most often spending time with my family or engaged in activism. My wife Melissa and I have two teenage sons, James and Zachary. We enjoy getting outdoors, riding bikes, walking our dog, following politics, reading and just hanging out with friends and neighbors.

I hope you will feel at home with me. I will be your guide through the whole buying or selling process and handle all the details. I will work diligently so that you can get the best possible price for your house.
